Amazing Shots
According to Photutorial.com, an average of 1.81 trillion photos are taken each year worldwide. I usually take around 2,000+ photos each year. And with that amount of photos taken, I manage to take some decent pictures every now and then. And so I show you some breathtaking photos which I took just recently.
A boy playing soccer with his friends at The Cathedral chasing the ball down the facade leading it back to its intended goal. |
In my personal opinion, this shot is quite nice, it's kind of like an action shot because of the boy running towards the ball. Though I could have waited until he kicked the ball, that would make the picture more dynamic.
A stray/lost dog walking down the street as a school bus nearly runs over him. |
This photo speaks a lot about how stray animals are left unnoticed by society. Dogs/cats, walking around in circles every day, longing for someone to love them, hoping for someone to feed them, waiting for someone to embrace them with loving arms. Alas, here they are, wandering the streets, either dying of starvation, injuries, or in the case of this photo, roadkill. Fortunately, this dog managed to escape the vehicle. But, it still saddens me because the poor thing has no place to call home. I wish I could take him home but, there's no room for him at my house.
5 P.M. Mass at Palo Cathedral attended by only a small number of faithful mostly elderly women with their grandchildren. |
This photo tells the story of the slow decay of the faith among the youth. Sure most of them still go to church. But, some neglect or fail to recognize its importance. I mean yes in protestant denominations the youth are literally like Taylor Swift fans when it comes to Jesus but the youth raised as Catholics don't seem to care that much. Yet, the true basis for someone's love for the lord is how he/she loves and serves others.
A single red rose blooms against the gray, dull, and cold cement and darkened vines that surround it. |
I am really fond of this photo because it has a lot of symbolism. It symbolizes a new beginning after tragedy and misfortune.
Pieces of old plastic are littered along the side of the river Bangon. |
A boy skipping stones throwing a rock across the river to see how many times it makes the water ripple |
This photo shows us the carefree and innocent nature of a child. While his father worries about the welfare of his prized chickens and his mother is caught up with all the schoolwork, here he is playing and enjoying life without a care in the world.
An elderly woman folding the garments of her family members |
Even though they're seniors, when no one is able to do the work, they do it. They are always willing to help.
A Persian Cat looking outside the window. |
This photo contrasts the photo earlier. Instead of wanting to be inside this one longs for the outside world. Yet she is forbidden to enter the foreign territory for fears of getting lost.
The Palo Monument decorated by little children stands tall in the middle of the plaza. |
The monument is said to be a memorial to those children who died during Yolanda or Haiyan. This tragedy is the one of the events which made Palo into what it is today.
So that is all of my best photos I hope you love them and the stories behind it and I look forward to writing with you soon.
